The Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering was established at Iraq University College in the 2025–2026 academic year and offers a Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence (AI). It was specifically founded to keep pace with the rapid global advancements currently taking place in the field of artificial intelligence, which is anticipated to play a vital role in serving developed societies. The department aims to prepare competent graduates who will take the lead in educating and advancing artificial intelligence in Iraq, qualified and capable of meeting the increasing demand of both local and international job markets. The department plans to achieve this by coordinating and collaborating with international research institutes and partnering with equivalent departments in public universities or colleges.
