As part of the continuous efforts to enhance scientific engagement and keep pace with local, regional, and international developments,
the Iraqi Political Science Association – Basra Branch, in coordination with the Department of Political Science / Iraq University College, organized a scientific seminar entitled:
“The American–Israeli War on Iran 2026: Causes and Local, Regional, and International Implications.”
The seminar was held on Tuesday, 17/03/2026, at 10:00 AM,
in the Conference Hall at Iraq University College – Al-Istiqlal Street.
The seminar included three main themes:

First Theme: The objectives of the war and its regional and international implications.

Second Theme: The strategies adopted by the parties in managing the conflict.

Third Theme: Iraq’s position on the ongoing war in the Middle East.
