 The Head of the Department of Computer Technology Engineering at the University of Iraq Ali Ahmed Abed at the First Scientific Symposium in the field of (Cyber ​​Security and Potential Threats) held by the Electronic Computer Center at the Southern Technical University in cooperation with the Media Communications Commission / Southern Region Office and ISACA International on Thursday 22 August 2019 at the conference hall on campus Southern Technical University.
 
 Lecturer Prof. Dr. Ali Ahmed addressed during the scientific symposium “how to achieve the security of data and networks (security) using blockchain technology, which is the technology of the next decade, adding,” This technology depends mainly on the centralization and transfer of data from one user to another without the need To a middleman, which achieves high privacy and very little time delay in addition to the elimination of the dominance of companies, institutions and countries on informatics.
 The researcher said that Iraq is qualified to apply this technology in all information institutions as it is considered raw and does not need to change the information infrastructure as it is still at the beginning of the road in this regard.
 He called on “institutions and companies to have the courage to start the application of this technology, even on a pilot basis.
