The TOEFL Center is the second center established in Basra after 2003.It is one of the accredited scientific centers recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education.The TOEFL Center has a qualified and trained staff who have been dispatched to ETS and have certificates of supervision of all types of TOEFL. Our center has achieved a good reputation in the province and neighboring governorates for the commitment of scientific and administrative staff to test instructions accurately and strictly, which earned the confidence of everyone and this came under the supervision and direct support of the President of the University and gentlemen assistants

The Department of Communications Engineering at the University College of Iraq organizes a special training course in English

This centre was founded in 2005. It offers the following:

• TOEFL courses for those who intend to take the TOEFL test.

• Courses in English conversation and writing development skills.

• International ITP TOEFL exam with certificates.

• Legal translations supervised by translation experts.

• English for Specific Purposes (ESP) for students of engineering and political sciences.

• M.Sc. Student English focusing on the TOEFL programme.

• Conversational and TOEFL courses since 2005.

• Many ELTC-made TOEFL and conversation tests since 2005.
