The Department of Civil Engineering organizes a panel discussion on the types of corrosion in metal tubes used to transport water

The Department of Civil Engineering at the University College of Iraq organized, today, Wednesday, December 18, 2019, a seminar entitled “Types of Corrosion in Metal Pipes Used for Water Transportation” delivered by Dr. Abdul Khaleq Mahmoud Hussein, a teacher in the Department of Civil Engineering ..
 
The lectures dealt with “a comprehensive presentation on the issue of corrosion, which included defining the process of corrosion, types of corrosion, environmental factors causing corrosion, and the negative consequences of corrosion on the quality of drinking water and human health,” explaining “the negative effects of corrosion on the integrity of the mains water pipe network and on its shelf life and The negative consequences for this on the national economy.

The seminar was attended by Dr. Ahmed Al-Kazemi, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, and a number of professors of the department and the engineering staff of the college’s construction laboratories.
