The ceremony started with a verse from Al-Hakim and reading Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the Iraqi martyrs and playing the national anthem, after which the President of the University delivered a speech in which he welcomed the new students affirming “on the scientific side to exert more effort and perseverance for academic excellence and the development of their scientific levels by taking advantage of the scientific material At the hands of an efficient elite of teachers wishing them excellence and success in serving our dear homeland followed by a welcome speech by Mr. Hamid Ghaleb, Director of Continuing Education, and on the one hand they praised the representatives of the people “for the efforts made by the President of the University in his continuous support and interest” A great educational process and education that will be an incentive and a motivation for them in the coming scientific careers.
The ceremony included many varied activities, including delivering words, poems, competitions and shields distribution for the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hadi Al-Hassani, the Director of Continuing Education, Dr. Hamid Ghaleb, the Director of Information, Professor Dia Al-Muhammadawi, and all heads of scientific departments.
This ceremony was concluded by distributing refreshments and sweets to the students present in an atmosphere of hope and optimism that their year will be the beginning of excellence and giving in their university life to serve our dear Iraq.
