The Basra Technical Engineering College Explores Prospects for Mutual Cooperation with Iraq University College

Assistant Professor Dr. Laila Blasim Hashim, Dean of the Basra Technical Engineering College, welcomed Dr. Jasim Mohammed Salman, Dean of Iraq University College, along with Dr. Aqeel Youssef Hisham, Assistant President of the Southern Technical University for Scientific Affairs, and the scientific committee from the university’s presidency, to her office.

The meeting included discussions on avenues for mutual cooperation between higher education and scientific research institutions, as well as the possibility of signing a joint scientific and cultural cooperation agreement between the two parties. The two sides also discussed the potential to establish postgraduate studies (Master’s programs) in the Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering Technologies Department, with Dr. Jasim Mohammed Salman joining as an esteemed professor in the department’s faculty.

The meeting also addressed various scientific aspects aimed at developing students and enhancing the efficiency of the teaching staff.
