The Department of Civil Engineering at the University College of Iraq, in cooperation with the Wadi Al-Rafidain Cultural Association, organized today, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 a seminar entitled “Water Pipes” delivered by Dr. Abdul-Khaliq Mahmoud Hussein, a teacher in the Department of Civil Engineering.
The lecturer touched on “providing a full presentation on the topic of the types of pipes that are used to transport raw water and drinking water, such as plastic pipes, metal pipes and concrete pipes.
Explaining “the components of each type, its benefits, harms, health and toxic effects caused by some types of plastic tubes, and a recommendation to avoid using them to transport drinking water.
Indicating “the types of pipes suitable for use to transport drinking water and avoiding the use of these types of harmful health.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Ahmed Al-Kazemi, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, and a number of professors of the Department and the engineering staff of the college’s construction laboratories.
